SLA, Polyjet and Urethane casted models can produce wonderfully clear parts. Ideal for bottles, lenses & visible windows, parts are available in four different finishes: Standard (which can be sanded/frosted/vapor honed), Semi-Translucent with a basic clear coat and Lens like Polished or Polished with a translucent Color Tint.

When using SLA, the standard finish with a clear coat is a quick inexpensive method for visible clarity (great for bottles). Polished parts, which command a premium, are perfect for the production looking show models. Tinting is ideal for creating LED, IR windows or an interesting modern look.

ClearVue is the clearest available rapid prototyping material today, where older resins such as; SLA Accura 60 and Somos 11122 have a very light distinctive color hue. Another available option is PolyJet VeroClear (although slightly hazy), is not typically recommended by us, but can be built in a full gloss mode or clear coated.

For durable, UV stable, temperature sensitive or limited production applications, we recommend Urethane Castings.
